On the consistency of the Oppenheimer–Snyder solution for a dust star. Reply to Marshall’s criticism
The paper analyzes an alternative treatment of the Oppenheimer–Snyder dust-star solution and then examines the standard solution in Schwarzschild coordinates. In the author’s interpretation, the stellar surface asymptotically freezes outside its gravitational radius and the internal layers also freeze near their own asymptotes, yielding a frozen-star (frozar) picture.
